I'm pretty sure that the writers were not being paid enough for their work. The companies and stuff that hired them were making a lot of money, but they weren't giving enough of that to the writers. The writers went on strike to bring attention to the fact that they weren't receiving enough credit for their work. But the problem has been resolved now (I think...) and they are being paid a better amount.

They deserve SO MUCH MORE. Like, pretty much all of the profits. When you think about it. Because it's really thanks to the writers (and the actors) more than ANYTHIGN ELSE that a show is what it is.GOOD FOR THEM! Strike, strike, strike! I supported your decision :) Even though I AM glad it's over.

It's the principle of the matter. If you produce something, you should be compensated for it. It doesn't matter how rich you are...and writers really work hard to get where they are and deserve compensation.
